I Don’t Care if You Don’t Believe Me: Prophet Ofori Amponsah
Pastor Ofori Amponsah who has been in the news for some few weeks now for his plans to return to the secular industry to do love songs has made known that, he is representing the secular artistes who will be treated like outcasts because of what they are doing.
“One thing that bothers me a bit is that, we’ve left secular musicians to their own fate. There is no one telling you to do this or not, like an outsider, an outcast and I see myself as such, if you want to believe me you can, if not I don’t care. I want them to know that I am there for them so they should come and let`s pray together,” he hinted.
Speaking about his single Alewa Featuring Sarkodie on Pluzz 89.9 FM morning show AM Pluzz with the show host Sammy Flex, Ofori Amponsah noted that, he sees himself as a mouth that speaks to people which always prompts him to choose words that are soothing.
When he was being asked whether he is returning to the highlife industry because he didn’t succeed in the gospel industry, Ofori stated that, he succeeded but it was a period for him to reflect, to love people since he started from the church where he served as a praises and worship leader.
He also stated that he may continue to do gospel if he gets the right people who are good at writing gospel songs to help him with his lyrics and guidance because he thinks he is not good in writing songs.
Ofori Amponsah said that after everything, he knew Sarkodie will be the best person to feature on the song and he used the opportunity to thank him for that, and also the Resurrection album will also feature Samini which will be out soon.
